There are simple make-at-home recipes that will cost you practical nothing, so why not give them a try?

Just last week I was looking for mask recipes and tried a very simple oatmeal, yogurt and honey mixture. I was very pleased with the results. And when I feel like I need some serious exfoliating, I simply put about a teaspoon of baking soda in my palm, make a paste with water, and then apply to a damp face. I’ve found it works as well (and feels identical to) a $35 scrub I had from a spa a long time ago!

Many acne treatments use glycolic acid, which is also found in pure cane sugar. Many people find that a sugar scrub is terrific on problem skin.
