We LOVE LOVE LOVE ice cream. I was not a fan of ice cream (I know, crazy!) until I was pregnant with my son, over the hottest summer ever by the way! But for the past 4 years…I’ve been addicted!
We love them all but our favorite is Haagen-Dazs for its all natural ingredients list! The best way to enjoy these is in the small single serve cups (WalMart seems to have the lowest price on these little guys!) because you can indulge just a little! The coffee and chocolate chip are great together
How excited I was to see a coupon for them! Grab yours and head to the ice cream aisle.
I usually take the stance that most services we pay for are luxuries and can easily be replaced with a little of our own legwork.
Recently, however, I was in desperate need of childcare on a regular basis. I needed to hire some help in order to save myself from overload, be able to spend more quality time with my kids and to give my husband and I some much needed alone time. You might recall last summer we moved from Missouri to Arizona and while we have made some friends here, we do not yet have a trusted circle of friends to draw on for help and advice.
I turned to Sitter City after MUCH deliberation on the expense of going so. After I calculated the cost of placing an ad, the speed with which I would reach my intended audience and the number of hours I would spend weeding through applicants, I opted to try Sitter City for it’s many benefits, saving money and time being chief among them!
You have access to a concentrated group of individuals who do what you need them to do.
You can narrow your choices down to those sitters who are willing to work the hours you need for the pay you are offering.
You have the option of only reviewing applicants who have taken the initiative to do the background check in advance (no cost out of your pocket).
You also have the option of only reviewing applicants who have references listed on Sitter City (and you can often call these references before you ever meet with a potential sitter).
It’s a wonderful resource and after meeting with just four sitters over the course of ten days, we found the perfect one for us. After six weeks, she’s still with us, the kids love her and things are going very well!
I encourage you to check it out if you are in need of a sitter on a regular, occasional, long-term or temporary basis. Right now, you can try out the service for seven days for free. Best of all, after your free trial ends, your subscription will end without any action on your part and your credit card will not be automatically charged. However, if you discover you enjoy the service you can upgrade to a monthly membership at any point during your trial.
My husband and I are big Dave Ramsey fans, and this is definitely the kind of sale Dylan would like. Dave Ramsey is a straight-talking guy who has helped thousands of people escape the pressures of debt and learn to live like no one else.
Dylan likes to have several copies of The Total Money Makeover on hand so that he can pass them out without lending his personal copy–too bad this sale wasn’t going on when he purchased all those extra copies! Right now at the Dave Ramsey website, all books, CDs, DVDs and software are $10 which is a savings of up to 60% off the cover price. In addition, you will receive free shipping on your order of over $65 or if you buy ten books, you can receive two for free.
While usually I don’t advocate buying new media since there are so many great options for borrowing it or getting it used, Dave Ramsey books are an exception we’re willing to make. (See this post here, and this one here for ways to get free or inexpensive media.) Dylan has handed out several copies of Dave books to friends and co-workers and although everyone doesn’t choose to act on the principles in the book, it has been a blessing to watch those who do experience the freedom that comes from escaping debt.
With the downturn of the economy and thousands of people out of work, the number of those who go to bed hungry at night is on the rise. Recent reports indicate that one in eight Americans is struggling with hunger and food banks have seen a 30 increase in the need for food assistance. So what can you do about it?
Kelloggs has partnered with Feeding America, the nation’s leading hunger relief organization, to make it easy to donate money to those who are hungry and get some great coupons while you’re at it. If you donate $5 or more, Kelloggs will reward you with Kellogg’s cereal coupons worth a total of $5. You can either visit the Facebook page or the website here to make a donation to Feeding America and they’ll send you the $5 worth of coupons. The donation program will run for three months or until they reach the goal of $1 million in total donations and distribute coupons to 200,000 people.
