Just wanted to let you know that we have been having some issues with this site. I have used it for over a year and enjoyed the deals. Just recently though, we have purchased a coupon from their site, and were told at the restaurant that they weren’t accepting their coupons anymore. According to the restaurants, they told restaurant.com that they didn’t want to participate in the program anymore, but restaurant.com refused to take them off of it and continues to sell their coupons. If this happened at just one restaurant I might chalk it up to he said she said, but it has happened at more than one.
Restaurant.com said they would give me a one time full cash refund, but that took a bunch of prodding from me to get it (had to ask for a supervisor). Personally we won’t be using them again, and just wanted to make you aware of it. Not a good company all around.
I had just the opposite experience…..2 restaurants that I had purchased stopped participating and restaurant.com emailed me and told me so I was able to use the credit for a different restaurant
The problem I had with restaurant.com was an unauthorized $14.95 charge that would have been a monthly charge had I not caught it and complained loud and clear until it was reversed and cancelled. I did not sign up for any charge other than the coupon I purchased. Not only did I have this problem but it has since been written up in such magazines as P C World as it seems to have affected a number of other consumers. I avoid them and have done so ever since that charge. And I destroyed all my paid for restaurant certificates as I figured the paper was the most valuable part of that coupon considering my experience.
