I buy the really large pack of hamburger and split it up for tacos, burgers and chili then freeze the rest. The really large pack of meat is much cheaper and it makes multiple meals.

I buy the big packs of hamburger and fry it (crumbly) right away. Then I freeze in quart size freezer bags. This makes dinner prep a snap!
I not only buy in bulk but make my hamburger patties, put in the fold-top sandwich bags freeze and vacuum seal. I make my meatballs, cook them and freeze and vacuum seal. I cook some hamburger as becky does and freeze one pound in each package. That way I know how many I have to use. Also, when I freeze them, I freeze the meat flat so it defrosts more quickly
